Volunteer Program
Are you looking to meet people and improve the community in your spare time? Are you 21 years of age or older? Have you attended Costa Mesa’s Citizens’ Police Academy? If you answered “yes” to these questions, then Costa Mesa PD has a volunteer position for you!
Volunteers are stationed at the police headquarters at 99 Fair Drive. Depending on their assigned divisions, volunteers perform a variety of duties, including clerical work, fingerprinting, bicycle registration, Citizens on Patrol, CSI lab, and jobs in the Property-Evidence and Detective Bureaus. Volunteers may work between 16-40 hours a month.
Prospective volunteers must complete Costa Mesa’s Community Policing Citizens’ Academy before consideration. We are sorry, but we cannot accept graduates of other cities’ citizens’ academies.
