Area 1 is bounded by Joann and Victoria Streets to the north, Irvine Avenue to the east, 15th and 16th Streets to the south, and the Santa Ana River to the west.  Area One landmarks include the Neighborhood Community Center and Triangle Square.

Area 1 Commander - Rob Sharpnack

Lieutenant Sharpnack began his law enforcement career in 1993 and has had the opportunity to work a variety of assignments, including:  Patrol, Field Training Officer, South Coast Plaza Detail, Detective Bureau, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, Traffic Motorcycle Sergeant, Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) Sergeant, and Special Events Sergeant.  From 1996-2002, he served as a member of the S.W.A.T. team as a tactical officer.

Lieutenant Sharpnack has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with concentration in Organizational Management.  In his free time, Lieutenant Sharpnack enjoys golf, fishing, and skiing.
