To All Interested Candidates

We all realize that times are tough right now for all members of the community.  The financial situation has meant that the Costa Mesa Police Department has had to suspend all recruitments in the short term.  This is disappointing but unfortunately is a fact of life until things improve. 

On the bright side, we are seeking alternative funding that may again mean we are back in the recruitment business.  The Training and Recruitment Bureau Team is also well prepared to “hit the ground running” once the hiring freeze is lifted. 

I want to assure you that your interest in the Costa Mesa Police Department is greatly appreciated.  I also want to assure you that because we are on a freeze does not mean that this department has become anything less than the great organization it has always been.  This is still a great place to work!

We have a new police complex, are well equipped, have many specialty assignments, and great people to work with.  The team work and family atmosphere is alive and well.
